Dr. Joshua Schwarz - Founder and Principal
Dr. Joshua Schwarz earned his M.S. and Ph.D. at Cornell University with concentrations in Human Resources, Labor Relations and Labor Economics. In his 30 year career as a full-time faculty member at Miami University and the University of Minnesota, Dr. Schwarz has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in Human Capital Analytics, Human Resource Management, Negotiations and Conflict Management, Employment Law and Research Methods in Industrial Relations.
During the past 20 years, Dr. Schwarz has conducted or supervised over 160 human capital analytical projects a with large variety client organizations from Fortune 500 companies to non-profits and public sector agencies. Clients include: Procter & Gamble, GE, The Kroger Company, Abercrombie & Fitch, United Airlines, Textron, Alcoa, Cintas, Nielsen, Aon, Xerox, R.R. Donnelley, Fifth Third Bank, Allstate, Hess Corporation, Nestle, PepsiCo, Target, Wendy’s, Chrysler, Fort Hamilton Hospital, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, City of Cincinnati, City of Dayton, Butler County Environmental Services, Metropolitan Sewer District of Hamilton County, Johns Hopkins Medicine and many others.
Dr. Schwarz has also developed special expertise in analysis of diversity and cultural competence initiatives. Dr. Schwarz’s most recent publication is called Development and Psychometric Assessment of a Healthcare Provider Cultural Competence Instrument. Other projects include assessment of quantitative and qualitative data from employees and managers to determine the unique drivers of organizational performance. Return on investment analysis has also been conducted on a large variety of HR initiatives including health promotion, recruitment, selection, training, diversity, turnover reduction and compensation issues.
